Overview

Service users are programmatic (machine) users that can communicate with WhiteSource via the APIs with no access to the GUI. These users assist with the automation in the CI/CD workflow and enable the organization administrators to manage these users via the GUI.

In Full Name, enter the service username. Note that in Email, an email address is auto-generated according to the user name. NOTE: No email notifications or alerts will be sent to this email address. The email address is used only for reporting purposes.

Managing Service Users

You can do the following from the specific service user's links that are displayed on the users table:

• copy token: Copy the user token.
• remove: Removes the service user.

You can assign a service user to one or more groups.
Go to Admin → Groups, selecting a group and add or remove the service user to/from the selected group.
