  1. In Jira, click Manage Apps. The Manage Apps screen is displayed.

  2. Click Upload App. The Upload App dialog box is displayed.

  3. In From this URL, enter the URL to download from where you will download the plugin.following: https://downloads.whitesourcesoftware.com/jira-plugin/release/ws-jira-plugin.jar

  4. Click Upload. You will be directed to the configuration page. (If not, in the User-Installed Apps list, select the jira-server-plugin, and at the bottom of the screen, and click Configure).

  5. The validate your WhiteSource License screen is displayed. Enter the activation key (to generate an activation key, refer here) in the space provided, and click Verify. In case you are using a proxy, enter its details in the Proxy Config section.
    NOTE: If the activation key cannot be verified, it might be expired or you might be experiencing connectivity issues. Contact Support.

  6. If a verification indication is displayed, click Next. The plugin mapping screen is displayed. Continue to Mapping the WhiteSource Projects to the Jira Projects.
